Exotic high cromium and high nickel apploys often require controlled welding parameters in order to limit welding failures at site. Problem

Sensitive exotic high nickel alloys require stringent process control of each weld bead. Site conditions offer limited space in between the pipes which require a customized welding head

Solution

Uddcomb developed a customized orbital welding head with cameras that can operate in narrow areas. Uddcomb developed a WPQR with a customized welding joint with a minimum HAZ specially developed for orbital tig welding of high nickel alloy pipes and filler material
