Damages on a subsea cable during storage, production and laying is not uncommon and very costly to repair. In order to avoid damages of the cables manual labour on top of the cable stack is often used.
With Uddcombs latest innovation - related to layarmsystems, the UDDCOMB OPTIEYE and UDDCOMB OPTISENSE cable laying can be made efficiently remotely with no or limited manual labour on the cable stack in the same time as full visibility is provided to the operator via cameras and with a laying arm equipped with mulitple sensor to support the operator and the laying process to avoid damages on the cable.
